Intensifying conflicts with humans

Locating ski resort within bear territory means that bears encounter humans and their products more frequently which leads to distance shortening and habituation (ex. the Tatra Mountains).

Currently only in the Tatra Mountains a great deal of emphasis is placed on preventive measures, especially those preventing food habituation. In case of range contraction the animals may migrate to urbanized areas (ex. Ii Slovakia).
